I’d like everyone to take a look at the current article on the MidCurrent website by Beau Beasley. We urge you to contact the Attorney General’s office at (804) 786-2071 and ask Mr Cuccinelli to fight for the property rights of the Commonwealth and the right to fish without harassment on public waters. If this passes under the radar and the claims of North South Development are upheld without a whimper from the state, the implications are bleak for everyone in our state who loves the outdoors.
In the meantime, we have removed the Jackson River Tailwater section from our list of float trips. South River Fly Shop will not place a client into a situation like the one that currently exists on the Jackson. Hopefully, citizens of the Commonwealth will speak out and Mr Cuccinelli will step up and assert the rights of the state and it’s citizens.
