What to Expect from a Native and Wild Trout Fishing Trip
If you are looking for seclusion and incredible scenery to go along with a great day on the water pursuing Virginia’s state fish, then this is the trip for you. We focus on lightly pressured streams with great populations of native Brook Trout along with a few select streams with wild Rainbow Trout. We recommend good casting skills in tight conditions and good agility in rocky terrain for these trips.
Our native Brook Trout and wild Rainbow Trout streams are fragile ecosystems that are highly susceptible to drought conditions. These trips are only offered when water levels are sufficient for safe catch and release fishing. The best time of year for these trips is from late February to early June.
